The Goldfish Prince
Lily's pet goldfish, Finley, was the most boring fish in the world. He just swam in circles all day in his tiny bowl. Or so Lily thought.
One afternoon, while Lily was watching cat videos on her iPhone, something magical happened. Her phone slipped from her hands and—SPLASH!—landed right in Finley's bowl.
But instead of sinking, the iPhone began to glow. The water started swirling like a mini tornado, sparkling with tiny rainbows. Lily leaned closer, and suddenly—whoosh!—she was pulled right into the fishbowl!
When Lily opened her eyes, she wasn't in her bedroom anymore. She was in an underwater kingdom where castles made of pearls rose from the sandy floor. And there stood Finley, but he wasn't a tiny goldfish anymore. He was a golden prince with shimmering scales and a crown that looked like coral.
"Thank goodness you're here!" Prince Finley said. "A grumpy bull has trapped my sister in a cave of seaweed. She needs our help!"
Lily's eyes widened. "A bull? Underwater?"
"Not just any bull—a star-bull who fell from the constellation Taurus! He's very lonely and doesn't know his own strength."
Together, they swam through coral forests and past schools of rainbow fish. When they reached the seaweed cave, they found the star-bull looking sad and confused. His fur sparkled like actual stars.
Lily didn't know how to help, but then she remembered something. In her pocket, she still had some spinach from her lunch—the vegetable her grandma said gave you magic powers. She pulled out the emerald green leaves.
"Would you like some spinach?" Lily asked gently. "It's really good for you."
The star-bull's eyes lit up. He sniffed the spinach, then took a big bite. His whole body glowed brighter! The spinach made him feel so strong and happy that he accidentally burst through the seaweed cave, freeing Finley's sister.
"I'm so sorry!" the star-bull said. "I just wanted a friend to play with."
"We'll be your friends!" Lily said with a smile.
From that day on, Lily visited Finley's underwater kingdom whenever she wanted. The star-bull became their gentle guardian, and they all learned that sometimes the grumpiest creatures just need a little kindness—and maybe some delicious spinach—to become the best of friends.
And Lily's iPhone? It still worked perfectly, but now it had a magical new feature: it could project tiny swimming fish whenever Finley missed his underwater home.
