The Goldfish and the Crystal Pyramid

Lily discovered something wonderful behind the old garage. A swimming pool, but not like any she'd ever seen. The water shimmered with tiny sparkles, as if someone had sprinkled starlight across the surface.

Peeking into the magical water, she saw him—a small goldfish with scales that glowed like tiny golden coins. But this was no ordinary fish. When he swam, the water around him turned different colors.

"Hello there," the goldfish said, his voice sounding like gentle bubbles. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to find me."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "You can talk?"

"I can do many things," the goldfish replied with a mysterious smile. "Follow me."

He swam toward something strange at the bottom of the pool—an old cable, covered in colorful seaweed. But as Lily watched, the cable began to glow and unwind, stretching upward like a magical rope made of rainbow light.

"Grab on!" the goldfish called.

Lily took a deep breath and grasped the glowing cable. It lifted her gently, carrying her up, up, up until she landed on something incredible.

A pyramid—but not made of stone. This pyramid was crafted entirely of crystal, catching sunlight and casting rainbows in every direction. At its peak sat a magnificent bull with golden horns and kind eyes.

"Welcome, young friend," the bull rumbled softly. "I am Guardian of Wishes. The goldfish brought you here because you have something special within you."

The goldfish swam through the air beside her. "Lily noticed the magic pool when no one else did. She has wonder in her heart."

The bull nodded. "True magic belongs to those who believe in the impossible. What wish do you carry?"

Lily thought carefully. She could wish for anything—to fly, to be famous, to have every toy in the world. But then she remembered her little brother, Tommy, who had been sad lately.

"I wish for courage," she said finally. "Courage to help Tommy believe in magic too."

The crystal pyramid blazed with light. The goldfish swam around her in joyful spirals. The bull bowed his golden head.

"You already have it," he whispered. "You found us, didn't you?"

Lily smiled, understanding at last. The real magic wasn't in wishes—it was in believing, in wondering, in keeping your heart open to the extraordinary.

The cable lowered her gently back to the pool. The goldfish blew her a kiss with a splash. And though the crystal pyramid faded like morning mist, Lily knew something wonderful.

Magic was real. And the best part? She could share it with anyone who believed.
