The Goldfish and the Cloud Bull
Maya's goldfish, Glub, lived in a beautiful glass pyramid bowl on her nightstand. Every night, Maya wished her little orange friend could swim in a real pond instead of her tiny pyramid home.
One magical evening, Glub began to glow! He swam right through the glass pyramid, floating around Maya's room like a tiny astronaut fish. "Come with me!" Glub seemed to say without speaking. Maya touched his shimmering scales and WHOOSH!
Suddenly, Maya was swimming through the sky! She could breathe perfectly, her hair floating like seaweed. Below her, houses looked like pebbles. Trees resembled bushes of green broccoli.
They landed on a fluffy cloud kingdom where an enormous creature awaited them. A massive bull with clouds for spots and a tail made of mist stomped toward them. Maya trembled, but Glub swam bravely ahead.
"Don't be afraid," said the bull in a voice like distant thunder. "I'm Leo, and I've been waiting for a friend."
Leo wasn't scary at all! He gave Maya rides on his cloud back, diving through cotton-candy canyons and climbing misty mountains that sparkled like diamonds. Glub swam beside them, leaving trails of rainbow bubbles.
"Why did you wait for me?" Maya asked Leo.
"Because," Leo rumbled gently, "Cloud bulls get lonely guarding the sky. We need friends with big imaginations."
Maya learned that true friends come in all sizes—even swimming goldfish and cloud bulls. That night, she returned to her pyramid-shaped fishbowl with a magical secret. Glub winked at her, and Maya knew the best adventures are the ones you share with friends, no matter how different they might be.
