The Golden Splash Adventure
Lily loved summer days, especially when she could play in her backyard pool. But today something magical happened.
"Batter up!" her dad called from the garden, tossing a baseball toward her. Lily swung her plastic bat and—WHOOSH—the ball flew higher and higher until it disappeared into a shimmering orange light in the sky.
"Oops!" Lily gasped. Then she noticed something extraordinary. A tiny goldfish with rainbow scales was swimming through the air beside her.
"I'm Finn!" the goldfish bubbled happily. "That orange light you hit? That's the Portal of Wonder! You've opened a magical door!"
Lily's eyes widened. "Really?"
Finn nodded. "Hop into your pool, and I'll show you something amazing!"
Lily jumped into the cool blue water. Suddenly, the pool began to glow like liquid sunshine. When she surfaced, she wasn't in her backyard anymore. She was in a magnificent underwater kingdom where fish played baseball with pearls and coral reefs sparkled like jewels.
"Welcome!" called a friendly octopus wearing a baseball cap. "Want to play?"
Lily laughed and played the most wonderful game of her life. The fish cheered as she hit a home run, and a school of goldfish did a victory dance.
When it was time to leave, Finn gave her a small orange crystal. "This will remind you that magic is everywhere—you just have to look for it."
Back in her own pool, Lily discovered the crystal in her hand. Her dad waved from the garden, holding her baseball.
"Great hit, sweetheart!"
Lily smiled, squeezing the orange crystal. Some adventures are small enough to fit in your pocket, but big enough to fill your heart forever.
And sometimes, the most magical journeys begin with just one swing of a bat.
