The Golden Sphinx's Secret Spy
Lily peered into her fish bowl, watching Goldie swim in lazy circles. The little goldfish with sparkling orange scales was her best friend. But today, something magical happened.
Goldie swam to the surface and whispered, "Lily, I have a secret mission!"
Lily gasped. "You can talk?"
"I'm not just a goldfish," Goldie said mysteriously. "I'm a secret spy for the Great Sphinx of Dreams!"
Lily's eyes widened. She had read about sphinxes—magical creatures with lion bodies and human heads who guarded treasures and knew ancient secrets.
"The Sphinx needs your help," Goldie continued. "Children's dreams are disappearing because everyone's looking at screens instead of imagining. Will you help me restore the magic?"
Lily nodded eagerly. "But how?"
Goldie's scales shimmered. "Your iphone can become a Dream Window!"
Lily held up her phone. Goldie swam in a special pattern—splash, swirl, sparkle—and suddenly the screen filled with golden light. An image appeared: a magnificent sphinx with emerald eyes and wings like rainbows.
"Thank you, young friend," the Sphinx's voice echoed softly. "You've opened the Dream Window. Now, close your eyes and imagine something wonderful."
Lily closed her eyes and pictured a treehouse made of candy canes. When she opened them, tiny candies rained from her phone!
"Every time you use your imagination," the Sphinx said, "you feed the magic that keeps children's dreams alive. Goldie will be your spy, reporting back whenever dream magic fades."
That night, Lily understood something important: screens are fun, but imagination is pure magic. She hugged Goldie's bowl.
"You're the best secret spy ever," she whispered.
Goldie did a happy flip, her scales twinkling like stars. "And you're the best dream guardian a sphinx could ask for!"
From that day on, Lily balanced her screen time with dreaming time, and Goldie the magical goldfish watched over her, making sure imagination never ran out.
