The Golden Riddle Game

Leo loved his blue baseball cap more than anything. It was his lucky hat, and he wore it everywhere—even to breakfast!

One sunny afternoon, Leo grabbed his baseball glove and headed to the park. But today was different. When his baseball rolled under a mysterious old oak tree, something magical happened.

A tiny goldfish with sparkly golden scales swam through the air right beside Leo's ear!

"Follow me!" whispered the goldfish. "I know where your baseball went!"

Leo followed the flying fish to a hidden garden he'd never seen before. In the center sat a magnificent sphinx with emerald eyes and wings like sunrise clouds.

"Welcome, young player," purred the sphinx. "I have your baseball. But to win it back, you must answer my riddle."

Leo nodded bravely. "I'm ready!"

"I have a face but cannot see, two hands but cannot hold. What am I?"

Leo thought hard. He looked at his lucky hat, then at the golden fish swirling around the sphinx's paws. Suddenly, he smiled!

"A clock!" Leo shouted. "Because clocks have faces and hands, but they can't see or hold things!"

The sphinx's wings fluttered with delight. "Correct!" She rolled the baseball back to Leo with her paw. "And for your cleverness, I give you this gift."

She touched Leo's blue hat, and it shimmered with stardust. "Now whenever you wear this hat, you'll always think clearly and make good friends."

Leo skipped home, his baseball in one hand and his magical hat on his head. The flying goldfish waved goodbye before disappearing into the sky.

That night, Leo touched his lucky hat and smiled. Sometimes the best adventures happen when you're brave enough to answer riddles—and kind enough to make new friends, even if they're sphinxes and flying fish!
