The Golden Pyramid Secret
Maya sighed as she looked at her baseball glove. It was too big for her small hands. At ten years old, she was the shortest player on the Dragons, her neighborhood team. Even the daily vitamin her mom made her take didn't seem to help her grow.
One sunny Saturday, Maya sat on the bench during her game, watching her teammates hit home runs. She closed her eyes and wished she could be anywhere else.
"Hey!" someone whispered.
Maya opened her eyes and gasped. Right beside her on the bench sat a tiny golden pyramid, no bigger than her baseball. It shimmered like sunshine caught in amber.
"I'm the Pyramid of Possibility," the pyramid said in a voice like chiming bells. "I appear when children need to remember what really matters."
Maya's eyes widened. "Can you make me taller? Stronger? Better at baseball?"
The pyramid glowed warmly. "I cannot change how you look, Maya. But I can show you something magical. Touch your heart and tell me what you feel when you play baseball."
Maya thought carefully. "I feel... happy. I love when my teammates laugh together. I like helping others learn to catch. And when I run the bases, I feel like I'm flying!"
"Exactly!" The pyramid sparkled brighter. "The magic isn't in being the biggest or strongest. It's in joy, friendship, and believing in yourself. Those are the real vitamins - star vitamins, I call them - that make you shine."
Suddenly, Maya's coach called her name. She was up to bat!
Maya picked up her bat. She didn't feel small anymore. She felt filled with golden light from the pyramid's words.
The pitch came. Maya swung with all her heart - not with anger or frustration, but with pure joy.
*CRACK!*
The ball soared through the sky, over the fence, into the trees. A home run! Her teammates rushed the field, cheering and hugging her.
As Maya rounded the bases, smiling so wide her face hurt, she glanced at the bench. The tiny pyramid was gone.
But it didn't matter. Maya carried its secret inside her now, glowing like sunshine: true strength comes from a happy heart, good friends, and believing in yourself.
And every time she stepped onto the baseball field after that, Maya remembered - she wasn't just small Maya anymore. She was Maya, filled with star vitamins, ready to fly.
