"Guardians?" Lily asked, her eyes wide.

"This pyramid protects the ocean's memories," the turtle explained. "But I'm getting old. Would you and your brave dog help me?"

Sunny barked happily, and Lily nodded without hesitation. For that magical summer, they learned about friendship and responsibility.
