The Golden Cable to the Stars
Leo loved gazing at the night sky from his bedroom window. One evening, something sparkled in the garden below. Something he had never seen before.
It was a golden cable, shimmering like liquid moonlight, stretching from the grass all the way up to the stars. Leo's heart raced with wonder. He tiptoed outside and touched the cable. It felt warm, like sunshine, even though it was night.
The cable tugged gently, as if inviting him to climb. Leo wrapped his hands around it and pulled himself up, hand over hand. Higher and higher he went, past the treetops, past the clouds, until he reached a floating island made entirely of stardust.
There, crying softly, sat a magnificent bull made entirely of constellations. His coat glittered with thousands of tiny stars, and his horns were crescent moons. The bull had fallen from the sky during a meteor shower and couldn't get back home.
"I'm Toro," the bull sniffled. "I belong in the night sky, but I'm stuck here."
Leo wanted to help. Nearby, he spotted a magical padel floating in the air — a glowing paddle with a surface like a mirror. Leo picked it up and felt its power surge through his arms.
"Climb onto the padel," Leo said bravely. Toro hesitated, but Leo's smile gave him courage. The great bull stepped onto the magical paddle, which expanded to hold him.
Leo placed the padel on the golden cable. Together, they pushed and pulled. Up, up, up! Higher than clouds, higher than birds, higher than Leo had ever imagined. The stars twinkled brighter and brighter.
Finally, they reached the bull's home — a special patch of sky between the brightest stars. Toro stepped off the padel and immediately transformed into a beautiful constellation, exactly where he belonged.
"Thank you, Leo," Toro's voice echoed like starlight. "You showed me that even when we fall, true friends help us rise again."
That night, Leo slept with his window open. He could see Toro's constellation shining proudly. The golden cable had disappeared, but Leo knew it would return whenever someone needed a little magic — and a lot of courage.
