The Golden Cable Car

Lily and Mateo were the best of friends. Every Saturday, they played padel on the old court behind Lily's house, laughing as they hit the bright blue ball back and forth.

One sunny afternoon, something magical happened. As Mateo ran to catch a ball, he spotted something shimmering near the rusty fence. A tiny goldfish was flopping in the grass!

"Quick!" Lily cried. "He needs swimming water!"

The children scooped up the fish into a bucket and rushed to the garden pond. But the goldfish wouldn't swim. Instead, it swam right to the surface and spoke in a bubbly voice.

"Thank you, dear friends! My name is Fin, and I was on my way to the Magic Sea Festival when I got stuck."

"Fish don't talk!" Mateo gasped.

"Magic fish do!" Fin twinkled. "The problem is, I'm too small to swim all the way there. But there's an old underwater cable nearby—a magical cable car that could take me!"

Lily's eyes widened. "We can help!"

They found the thick black cable behind the pond. When Fin touched it with his nose, a tiny glass carriage appeared!

"Climb in!" Fin bubbled.

The three friends squeezed inside. The cable car zipped underwater, past rainbow coral and singing turtles. They saw crabs playing volleyball and dolphins painting pictures with bubble-blowing tubes.

"This is AMAZING!" Lily cheered.

At the festival, Fin's family was waiting. "Thank you for helping our friend!" his mother said. "You showed true friendship."

Fin gave them each a shiny scale. "Whenever you need help, just hold this and think of me!"

Back home, Lily and Mateo looked at their golden scales.

"Best padel partners AND best rescue friends," Mateo grinned.

Lily smiled. "Friends help friends, no matter how big or small."

That night, as they slept, their scales glowed softly—magic reminders of the day they learned that kindness comes in all sizes, even goldfish-sized ones.
