The Girl With Water Hair
Lily loved to visit her grandmother's garden, where a magical spring bubbled behind the old coconut palm. One hot afternoon, she dipped her hand in the cool water. Splash!
Suddenly, her dark hair began to flow like a gentle stream. It rippled and shimmered, dripping tiny droplets that made flowers bloom wherever they fell. Lily gasped with wonder.
The old palm tree stretched its leaves toward her. "Thank you for the water gift," it rumbled. "But I'm still hungry. I haven't had any spinach since last spring!"
Lily giggled. She knew spinach grew in the garden patch. She gathered a handful and fed it to the palm. Munch, munch, munch!
The palm's leaves turned bright green. "Now I have magic powers!" the tree announced. "I can take you swimming in my secret underwater world!"
The palm stretched its branches, creating a bubble around Lily. Down, down they sank into a hidden pond. Tiny fish with scales like jewels swam beside them. Seaweed forests glowed with soft light.
"Stay and play," the fish called. But Lily knew she needed to return home.
"Come back anytime," the palm promised. "True friends always find each again."
That night, Lily's hair still smelled of water magic. She learned that sharing small gifts with friends creates the biggest adventures of all.
