The Girl With Starlight Hair

Maya loved **running** through the meadow behind her house. Every morning, she'd race the sun across the tall grass, her feet barely touching the ground. But Maya had a secret—her curly brown **hair** would sparkle with tiny lights whenever she laughed.

One day, while **running** faster than ever before, Maya discovered something amazing. Hidden between two giant oak trees stood a crystal **pyramid**, no taller than her knee. It glowed with rainbow colors, and when she leaned closer, she heard it humming a gentle tune.

"Hello?" she whispered.

The **pyramid** shimmered, and a tiny voice answered, "Hello, Maya! I've been waiting for someone with joyful **hair** like yours."

Maya's eyes widened. "You can talk?"

"I'm a Wish Pyramid," it explained. "I grant wishes to children who believe in magic. But I've been sleeping for a hundred years because no one has visited me."

Maya's **hair** sparkled brighter than ever. "What kind of wishes?"

"Small ones," said the **pyramid**. "Wishes that make the world brighter. Like making flowers bloom, or helping sad friends smile again."

That afternoon, Maya stopped **running** and started walking slowly through her neighborhood. She noticed Mrs. Chen sitting alone on her porch. Maya wished for Mrs. Chen to have company, and suddenly, a stray kitten appeared and jumped onto her lap.

She saw little Tommy crying because his kite was stuck in a tree. Maya's **hair** glowed, she made a wish, and a gentle breeze lifted the kite down.

By sunset, Maya had made ten people smile. The crystal **pyramid** glowed golden. "You did it, Maya! You're a real wish-maker now."

Maya realized that **running** fast wasn't as wonderful as walking slowly and noticing who needed help. Her magical **hair** had shown her something important—the best magic comes from kindness.

From that day on, Maya still loved **running**, but she loved granting small wishes even more. And every night, the crystal **pyramid** would glow in her window, reminding her that the most wonderful adventures are the ones that help others.
