The Girl With Starlight Hair
Luna had the most wild hair in the whole village. It tumbled down her back like a chocolate waterfall, always bouncing when she walked and twirling when she spun. Other children had neat braids or smooth ponytails, but Luna's hair had a mind of its own.
One summer night, Luna couldn't sleep. She crept to her window and gasped—a magnificent golden bull stood in her garden! His coat shimmered like molten sunlight, and his horns curved like crescent moons.
"I'm Taurus," the bull spoke softly, "and I've traveled from the stars to find you."
Luna's eyes widened. "Me? Why?"
"Because your hair is special," Taurus said. "See how it reaches toward the sky? It's been calling to the stars."
He lowered his head, and from his golden coat, he pulled something that glowed like captured starlight. "This is a courage vitamin. One taste, and you'll see what I mean."
Luna wasn't afraid. She let the glowing vitamin melt on her tongue—sweet like honeydew and sparkly like champagne.
Suddenly, her hair began to shine! Each strand glowed with soft silver light, flowing upward like ribbon seaweed in a cosmic ocean. Luna felt lighter than air, and when she looked down, she was floating above her garden.
"Your hair is an antenna," Taurus explained. "It catches starlight and dreams. Now that you've taken the courage vitamin, you can finally use it."
Luna's hair wove through the night sky, gathering stardust and comet tails. She pulled down a particularly bright star and brought it to her village, where it warmed every home like a tiny sun.
From that night on, Luna's hair still bounced and twirled, but now she knew it wasn't messy—it was magical. And whenever anyone felt afraid, Luna would share her courage vitamins, because she had learned that the things that make us different are often our greatest gifts.
