The Girl With Sparkle Hair
Lily was different from other children. Her hair wasn't brown or black or yellow — it changed colors like a sunrise, pink in the morning, blue at noon, purple at sunset. It sparkled like tiny stars, and she could make it glow when she was happy.
One day, Lily sat by the ocean, dangling her feet in the water. Suddenly, something splashed into the palm of her hand. It was a tiny goldfish, no bigger than her thumb!
"Hello!" said the goldfish.
Lily gasped. "You can talk?"
"Of course!" The goldfish wiggled its tail. "My name is Finn. I've been watching you from the water. Your hair is beautiful — it shines even brighter than my scales!"
Lily smiled, and her hair turned a happy orange. "I wish I could swim like you."
Finn swished his tail. "Hold my fin, and take a deep breath!"
Lily held Finn's tiny fin between her thumb and finger. Then something magical happened. They both dove underwater together, but Lily could breathe!
In the ocean, her hair flowed like seaweed, glowing to light up the dark water. Fish of every color gathered around. "She has the most beautiful hair!" they whispered.
Lily saw coral kingdoms and sea turtles flying through the water like birds. She played tag with dolphins and met a wise old octopus who told her stories about sunken ships and mermaid cities.
But soon, it was time to go home. "Visit me again," said Finn. "And remember — your sparkle comes from inside you. That's the most important magic of all."
Lily swam back to shore, her hair now a peaceful silver. She waved to Finn, who blew bubbles in reply.
From that day on, Lily never felt different in a bad way again. Her magical hair wasn't strange — it was special, just like she was. And every sunset, she sat by the ocean, where her best friend Finn would splash a greeting into the palm of her hand.
