The Girl With Rainbow Hair

Mia had the most extraordinary hair in her whole school. It wasn't just brown or black or blonde — it changed colors depending on how she felt. Happy made it shine like sunshine, sad turned it soft gray, and excited made it sparkle with all the colors of the rainbow.

One summer afternoon, Mia's hair started glowing in brilliant swirls of pink and purple. She gasped when she saw herself in the mirror. The colors were dancing!

"What does this mean?" she wondered, touching her shimmering hair.

Her grandmother smiled knowingly. "Your hair is magic, Mia. It glows when adventure is near. Follow where it leads you."

Mia's hair pulsed brighter, pulling her toward the forest behind her house. She started running, her bare feet padding softly on the mossy ground. The rainbow colors grew more intense with every step, lighting her way through towering trees.

Suddenly, she burst into a clearing and stopped in wonder. Before her sparkled a pool unlike anything she'd ever seen. The water wasn't blue or green — it shimmered with liquid rainbow, swirling with colors that matched her glowing hair perfectly.

"The Wish Pool," whispered a voice behind her. Mia turned to see a tiny fox with fur that gleamed like stars. "Legends say it appears only when someone pure of heart needs it most. Your rainbow hair called it here."

"What does it do?" Mia asked, eyes wide.

"One wish for anyone who swims in its waters with courage and kindness," the fox explained. "But you must be quick — it disappears at sunset."

Mia looked at the magical pool, then thought of her best friend Leo, who had been sad because his grandmother was sick. Without hesitating, she dove into the rainbow water. It felt warm and tingled with magic. When she emerged, her hair glowed brighter than ever.

"I wish for Leo's grandmother to get better," she said with all her heart.

The pool swirled with golden light, then slowly faded away. But Mia's hair kept glowing, and that evening, Leo called her, crying happy tears. "My grandmother woke up! The doctors can't explain it, but she's better!"

Mia smiled, touching her still-rainbow hair. Sometimes, she realized, the greatest magic wasn't in wishes at all — it was in kindness, friendship, and the courage to run toward adventure with an open heart.
