The Girl With Rainbow Hair
Lily had the most magical hair in all of Willowbrook Village. Whenever she felt happy, her hair shimmered like sunshine. When she was curious, it turned purple with wonder. And when she was sad, it became a soft, gentle blue.
One day, Lily sat crying by the old stone wall. Her hair was deep blue, dripping with tiny tears.
"What's wrong, little one?" asked a small voice.
Lily looked up. A scruffy orange cat with one white paw sat beside her.
"Nobody wants to be my friend," Lily sniffled. "They say my hair is too strange."
The cat's green eyes sparkled. "I'll be your friend. My name is Whiskers, and I know something wonderful. In the forest, there's a magical bull who grants wishes to those with true hearts."
Lily's hair turned pink with hope. "Really?"
"Really!" Whiskers purred. "But we must hurry. He only appears at dawn."
Through the whispering woods they went, Whiskers leading the way. The trees seemed to lean in, curious about the girl with the ever-changing hair.
Suddenly, they reached a sunlit clearing. There stood the bull—not an ordinary bull, but one with fur like spun gold and horns that glowed with starlight. His eyes were kind and ancient.
"Welcome, child," the bull spoke in a voice like warm honey. "I am Goldenhorn. Why have you come?"
Lily stepped forward, her hair now shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow. "I wish for... for someone who really sees me. Someone who likes me just as I am."
Goldenhorn smiled, and his starlight horns twinkled. "You have already found what you seek. Look beside you."
Lily turned. Whiskers was rubbing against her leg, purring loudly. The cat's tail formed a perfect heart shape.
"True friendship isn't about finding someone new," Goldenhorn said wisely. "It's about seeing the magic that was there all along."
Lily's hair burst into brilliant golden light, brighter than ever before. She hugged Whiskers tight.
"Thank you, Goldenhorn!" she called as the magical bull faded into the morning mist.
That day, Lily walked home with her head held high. Her cat friend trotted proudly beside her, and her hair shone in every color of the rainbow. The village children stared, but Lily just smiled.
She had learned something wonderful: being yourself is the greatest magic of all.
