The Girl With Magic Hair
Ruby had the wildest hair in town. It bounced like springs and sparkled in the sun, but she always tried to tame it with clips and bands. "If only my hair would behave," she sighed.
One afternoon, Ruby found something strange behind the old oak tree—a mysterious golden cable that seemed to shimmer and hum. When she tugged it, the cable began to pull itself up, up, up into the clouds!
Curious and brave, Ruby held on tight. WHOOSH! The cable lifted her into a magical kingdom in the sky where everything was fluffy and white.
"Welcome!" cheered a small cloud creature named Puff. "We've been waiting for someone with special hair like yours!"
Puff explained that the Cloud Kingdom needed help winning their annual baseball game against the Storm Giants. "They always win because they're big and scary," Puff said sadly. "But we heard that magic hair can catch anything—even lightning balls!"
Ruby's eyes widened. Her hair wasn't a problem after all—it was a superpower!
The game began. The Storm Giants hit their special baseballs so hard they crackled like thunder. But Ruby's wild hair had a mind of its own. It reached out and caught every ball that came near, tangling them gently like soft nests.
"Amazing!" the cloud people cheered.
When the Storm Giants saw how much fun everyone was having, they stopped being grumpy. "Can we play too?" asked the smallest giant. "We just wanted someone to play with us."
Ruby smiled. "Everyone's invited!"
Soon, giants and clouds played together, and Ruby's hair became the most famous baseball glove in the sky.
When it was time to go home, the golden cable lowered Ruby gently back to her backyard. From that day on, she never wished her hair was different. Some things that seem strange are actually magical gifts waiting to be discovered.
