The Girl With Hair Like Sunset
Mia had the most unusual **hair** in the entire village—bright orange like the setting sun. Other children had brown or blonde or black hair, but Mia's hair shone like a flame. She often hid under her favorite hat, wishing she could be like everyone else.
One day, Mia sat by the sparkling **water** of Willow Creek, trailing her fingers in the cool stream. She heard a soft splash behind her and turned to see the most remarkable creature—a tiny dragon with shimmering green scales and even smaller wings.
"I'm Pip!" the dragon squeaked. "Will you be my **friend**?"
Mia's eyes widened. "A real dragon? I've never seen a dragon before!"
Pip fluttered closer. "I'm special, just like you! Your **hair** is the color of courage!"
Mia touched her orange ponytail. "You really think so?"
"I know so!" Pip nodded. "Come with me! I want to show you something magical!"
The dragon led Mia through the forest until they reached a hidden garden where vegetables grew as tall as trees. **Spinach** leaves stretched up like emerald umbrellas, glowing with an inner light.
"This is the Garden of Strength," Pip explained. "The **spinach** here gives power to those who are brave enough to try it. But only special people can find it."
Mia remembered her mother always saying spinach would make her strong, but she had never wanted to taste it. Now, looking at the glowing green leaves, something felt different.
"What does it do?" Mia asked.
"It helps you see what makes you extraordinary," Pip said. "Everyone has magic inside them. Sometimes it just needs a little help to shine through."
Mia picked a **spinach** leaf and took a tiny bite. It tasted sweet and crisp, nothing like the mushy spinach from dinner. Suddenly, she saw her reflection in a nearby pool—her orange hair wasn't strange. It was magnificent, like a crown of fire.
"I never saw myself this way before," Mia whispered.
"That's because you were looking through fear's eyes," Pip said. "Now you're looking through courage's eyes."
Mia hugged her new friend. "Thank you, Pip. Will you visit me again?"
"Every day by the **water**," the dragon promised. "Being your **friend** is the best adventure!"
That evening, Mia walked home with her orange hair flowing freely in the wind, no longer hiding under her hat. She had discovered something wonderful—being different wasn't a problem. It was her very own magic, just waiting to be discovered.
