The Girl with Electric Hair

Lily loved exploring the old radio tower behind her house. One rainy afternoon, she noticed something strange—a glowing cable that hadn't been there yesterday. It hummed with a soft purple light, stretching from the tower down into the bushes.

Being brave and curious, Lily followed the cable. It led her to a tiny clearing where a small girl sat crying. This girl had the most extraordinary hair Lily had ever seen—every strand was a different color, and it crackled with tiny sparks like miniature lightning!

"What's wrong?" Lily asked gently.

The girl looked up, surprised. "I'm Sparkle. I'm from the Sky Kingdom above the clouds. My hair got tangled in this cable when I fell through, and now I can't fly back home!"

Lily's heart went out to her. "I can help! But first... will you be my friend?"

Sparkle's eyes lit up. "A friend? I've never had a friend before!"

Together, they worked to untangle Sparkle's magical hair from the cable. As they worked, Sparkle showed Lily how her hair could make beautiful shapes in the air—a butterfly, a star, even a tiny dragon! Lily taught Sparkle about her world, like chocolate and dandelion fluff.

When the last knot was finally free, Sparkle hugged Lily tight. "Thank you for helping me. Friends help each other, right?"

"Right," Lily smiled.

Sparkle's hair glowed brighter than ever. She grabbed the cable like a rope swing. "Visit me someday! Just look for the sparkles in the clouds!" She zoomed upward, leaving a trail of rainbow light.

That night, Lily looked up at the stars. She knew that somewhere above the clouds, she had a friend who would always remember her. And sometimes, when the sky was just right, she could see tiny sparkles dancing among the stars—Sparkle waving hello.

Lily learned that the best friendships can happen in the most unexpected ways, even if someone has very strange hair indeed!
