The Gentle Bull of Magic Palm
Lily loved climbing the old palm tree in her backyard. Its rough bark felt like a friendly hug, and its leaves danced in the warm breeze like green skirts twirling.
One sunny afternoon, while perched on her favorite branch, Lily spotted something amazing. A tiny golden bull, no bigger than her thumb, was sleeping in the curve of a palm frond! His coat shimmered like sunrise, and his horns curved like crescent moons.
"Hello?" Lily whispered.
The bull stretched and yawned. "Oh, hello there! I'm Barnaby, the palm tree guardian. You must be Lily."
"How did you know my name?"
Barnaby smiled mysteriously. "Magic trees know everything." From behind his ear, he pulled a glowing blue pill. "Would you like a star vitamin?"
"What's a star vitamin?"
"Each one gives you a special gift for one whole day!" Barnaby explained. "Yesterday I gave one to Mrs. Higgins' cat, and he spent the afternoon singing opera!"
Lily giggled. "I'll try it!"
The moment she swallowed the vitamin, golden sparkles swirled around her. Suddenly, she understood! Her special gift was kindness-magic. When she smiled at her grumpy neighbor, he smiled back. When she helped her little brother tie his shoes, he felt like a superhero. Every person she touched felt lighter and happier.
"Barnaby!" Lily called. "This is the best gift ever!"
The tiny bull nodded wisely. "The strongest magic isn't in vitamins, Lily. It's in your heart. The vitamin just helps you see what was already there."
That night, Lily fell asleep under the palm tree, dreaming of kindness and tiny bulls with golden hearts. She realized the real magic wasn't the star vitamin at all—it was the love she shared every single day.
