The Garden Zombie's Secret

Lily loved being a spy. Every morning, she crept through her grandmother's garden with her magnifying glass, discovering secrets hidden under leaves and between petals. She wasn't looking for anything dangerous—just magic.

One Tuesday, behind the giant palm tree that swayed like a dancing lady, Lily found something extraordinary. A bull was sleeping peacefully in the shade. But this wasn't an ordinary bull. His fur was made of soft green moss, flowers bloomed between his horns, and butterflies rested on his nose.

"Hello?" Lily whispered.

The bull opened one eye. "Hello, little spy. I've been waiting for someone to find me."

"Waiting? But... who are you?"

"I'm a garden zombie," the bull said gently. Lily gasped and stepped back. The bull smiled, and his smile smelled like sunshine and strawberries. "Don't worry. Garden zombies aren't scary. We're the guardians who wake up when plants need us most. Long ago, I was an ordinary bull who loved this garden. When I grew old, the earth magic turned me into something new—something that could protect the flowers forever."

Lily reached out and touched the mossy hair on the bull's forehead. It felt like soft grass warmed by the sun. "But why were you hiding?"

"I wasn't hiding. I was sleeping until someone needed help." The bull stood up slowly, and as he moved, wildflowers sprouted from his hooves. "The garden is in trouble. The morning glories won't bloom, and the roses have forgotten how to grow. I need a friend to help me remember the magic."

Lily's heart swelled with wonder. She held out her hand, palm up. A tiny seed appeared there—glowing golden like a little star. "I found this yesterday," she said. "I didn't know what it was for."

The bull's eyes twinkled. "It's a wish seed. Plant it, and the garden will remember its magic."

Together, they planted the seed. As it touched the soil, golden light spread through the garden. Morning glories burst into bloom, roses perfumed the air, and everywhere, flowers turned toward them as if greeting old friends.

"Thank you, Lily," the bull whispered. "You're not just a spy anymore. You're a garden guardian too."

That night, Lily fell asleep with flowers braided into her hair, dreaming of mossy bulls and magic seeds, knowing that some secrets are meant to be shared—especially the ones that make the world more beautiful.
