The Garden Spy
Lily's grandmother had the most magical garden in the world. Every Sunday, Lily would visit to help water the plants and search for adventures.
One afternoon, while hiding behind a swaying palm tree, Lily spotted something extraordinary — a tiny door at the base of the old oak tree. She decided to become a spy and discover what secrets lay beyond.
The next day, Lily brought her magnifying glass and notebook. She crept quietly through the vegetables, past the tall stalks of spinach that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. To her surprise, a small green man popped out from behind a spinach leaf!
"You found me!" the tiny man cheered. "I'm Finn, and I've been waiting for a clever spy like you."
Before Lily could answer, the ground rumbled gently. A massive bull with golden horns stepped into view. But he wasn't scary — he had kind eyes and wore a flower crown.
"This is Barnaby," said Finn. "He guards our magical garden. But he's lonely because everyone runs away when they see him."
Lily stepped forward bravely and held out her hand. Barnaby lowered his enormous head, and Lily tickled his velvet nose. He let out a happy snort that sounded like a song.
"Would you like me to read your palm?" asked Finn, hopping onto Lily's shoulder. "Fairy magic can show you your future friendship."
Lily held out her palm, and Finn traced its lines with a glowing finger. "I see a brave heart," he whispered, "and many wonderful adventures with new friends."
From that day on, Lily became the official Garden Spy, protector of magical creatures and best friend to Barnaby the bull. Every Sunday, she returned to the enchanted garden, where spinach sparkled, palms whispered secrets, and friendship grew like magic.
