The Garden Sprite's Secret

Sophie loved visiting Grandma's garden. It was full of secrets and surprises. One sunny afternoon, while searching for four-leaf clovers, she discovered something strange peeking out from beneath the giant **spinach** leaves—a floppy purple **hat**!

Curious, Sophie lifted the hat. Suddenly, it began to glow and sparkle! A tiny voice squeaked, "Thank you for finding me!"

A miniature creature, no bigger than Sophie's thumb, popped out. He had emerald-green skin, pointy ears, and the biggest smile she'd ever seen.

"I'm Pip," the creature said. "I'm a Garden Sprite! I lost my magic **hat** three days ago!"

Sophie's eyes widened. "A real magical creature? In Grandma's garden?"

Pip nodded solemnly. "Yes! But the Grumpy Gnome stole my magic **water** droplet. Without it, I can't make the flowers bloom."

Sophie stood up straight. "I'll help you get it back!"

The Garden Sprite led her through a hidden pathway between the tomato plants. The world shimmered and transformed. Giant flowers towered above them like rainbow umbrellas. Butterflies the size of dinner plates danced in the air.

They reached the Grumpy Gnome's hollow tree stump. The gnome guarded a small crystal bottle filled with shimmering blue **water**.

"Why won't you share the magic water?" Sophie asked bravely.

The gnome's eyes filled with tears. "I have no friends. Everyone calls me grumpy, so I decided to be grumpy. I just wanted something beautiful to keep me company."

Sophie's heart melted. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her **iPhone**. "Would you like to see something magical? My grandma taught me how to take pictures of flowers. Look—here's a photo of you! You look quite handsome, not grumpy at all!"

The gnome gasped. "I've never seen myself before. I... I suppose I don't look so mean."

"Everyone needs friends," Sophie said gently. "Pip could be your friend, and so could I!"

The gnome smiled, and his whole face lit up. He handed over the magic **water**. "Take it. And thank you for showing me kindness."

Pip sprinkled the magic **water** on the garden. Immediately, flowers burst into bloom—roses, daisies, sunflowers, and more!

"Thank you, Sophie!" Pip cheered. "You saved our garden!"
