The Garden's Secret Friend
Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard, especially near the old swimming pool that had been empty for years. One summer afternoon, she noticed something strange moving behind the tall sunflowers.
Curious, she crept closer and gasped. A small green creature was sitting by the pool, looking very sad. It looked a bit like a zombie from her storybooks, but instead of being scary, it had kind purple eyes and wore a tiny flower crown.
"Hello there," Lily whispered bravely.
The creature jumped. "Oh! You can see me? I'm Zim, the garden zombie. But don't worry—I'm not scary at all! I guard the magic pool."
Lily's toy bull, Ferdinand, which she carried everywhere, seemed to nod as if he understood.
"What happened to the pool?" Lily asked.
Zim sighed. "Children stopped believing in magic, so the water disappeared. But there's a way to bring it back! We need the Friendship Vitamin."
"What's that?" Lily's eyes widened.
"It's special!" Zim explained. "You need two drops of kindness, three scoops of sharing, and four sprinkles of believing—plus one big squeeze of love!"
Lily thought hard. She shared her snack with Zim. She told him stories about Ferdinand the brave bull. She helped him fix his flower crown. And最重要的是, she believed—with all her heart—that magic was real.
Suddenly, the empty pool began to sparkle! Water appeared, swirling with rainbow colors. Tiny fish made of light danced in the water.
"You did it!" Zim cheered, doing a happy little zombie dance. "The Friendship Vitamin worked!"
From that day on, Lily visited Zim every summer. They had wonderful adventures by the magical pool, and Lily learned that the best magic of all is kindness, friendship, and never stopping believing in wonders.
