The Garden of Three Wishes

Lily loved visiting her grandmother's garden, where sunlight danced through leaves like tiny golden butterflies. One Saturday morning, while helping pick vegetables for lunch, she noticed something strange.

A large **spinach** leaf was shimmering with silver light, and when she touched it, a tiny fairy popped out! "You found me!" squeaked the fairy, who was no bigger than Lily's thumb. "I'm Spin, and I've been waiting for you."

Spin flew into Lily's **palm**, where she sat comfortably. "We need your help, Lily. Our friend Golda is trapped in the old fountain, and only you can save her!"

Lily rushed to the garden fountain, where she saw the most beautiful **goldfish** with scales like sunset clouds swimming in circles. But Golda wasn't just any fish—she was the keeper of wishes!

"The stone lid is stuck!" Golda bubbled sadly. "If I can't surface to make wishes, the garden's magic will fade!"

Lily tried to lift the heavy stone, but it wouldn't budge. Spin fluttered around her head. "Use your biggest wish! What does your heart truly want?"

Closing her eyes, Lily whispered, "I wish for the strength to help my friends."

Suddenly, warmth flowed through her. The spinach leaf glowed brighter, and with Spin sitting on her shoulder, Lily lifted the stone lid as if it were made of feathers. Golda leaped joyfully into the air, creating a rainbow of splashes.

"Thank you!" Golda sang. "For your kindness, you have three wishes! But remember—the best wishes are ones that help others."

Lily smiled, looking at her new friends. "My first wish is that Spin never gets stuck in a spinach leaf again! My second wish is that Golda can visit the garden anytime she wants! And my third..." She thought carefully. "My third wish is that every child could have magical friends like you!"

The garden erupted in sparkles and laughter. From that day on, Lily discovered that the best magic wasn't in wishes at all—it was in kindness, friendship, and the courage to help others, even when things seem impossible.

And sometimes, if you look carefully in a garden, you might just see a spinach leaf shimmer, or catch a glimpse of a tiny fairy resting in someone's open palm, or spot a goldfish making wishes come true.
