The Garden of Starlight Wishes

Lily discovered the secret gate on the night her grandmother's old goldfish, Bubbles, began to glow with a soft golden light. She had been watching him swim in his bowl when suddenly he spoke!

"Follow me, Lily! The Garden of Starlight Wishes opens only once every hundred years!" Bubbles swam right out of his bowl, trailing sparkles like tiny stars.

Lily grabbed her favorite stuffed bear, Barnaby, and followed the magical fish through her bedroom window. They landed in a garden filled with flowers that hummed gentle lullabies. In the center stood a magnificent stone sphinx with rainbow-colored wings.

"Welcome, young dreamer," the sphinx purred kindly. "I am Sparkle, guardian of wishes. Tonight, you may ask one question, and if your heart is pure, you shall receive your heart's desire."

Lily thought hard. She could wish for anything – toys, adventures, treasures. But then she looked at Barnaby, her bear who had comforted her through every scary storm and lonely night.

"I wish," Lily said softly, "that every child in the world had a friend like Barnaby. Someone who never leaves them, even when things are scary."

The sphinx's eyes twinkled. Above them, the constellation Taurus the Bull shimmered brighter than ever. The bull's stars arranged themselves into a glowing message: 'WISHES FROM THE HEART ARE THE STRONGEST MAGIC OF ALL.'

Suddenly, hundreds of stuffed bears appeared, each destined for a child who needed comfort. Barnaby himself grew warm and gave Lily's hand a gentle squeeze.

"Thank you, Lily," Bubbles the goldfish said. "Your wish will bring smiles to children everywhere. That's the greatest magic of all."

As Lily snuggled back into bed, Barnaby hugged her tighter than ever, and she knew that true magic wasn't about wishes granted – it was about the love we share with friends who stay by our side, no matter what.
