The Frog's Magical Court

Leo was bored. It was the hottest day of summer, and all his friends were away on vacation. He sat by the old pond behind his house, skipping stones across the water.

Suddenly, something green hopped onto his sneaker. It wasn't just any frog—it wore a tiny silver crown made from a gum wrapper!

"Hello there!" said the frog. "I'm Prince Frio, and I need your help."

Leo gasped. "You can talk?"

"Of course! Can you?" Prince Frio laughed. "I'm supposed to be practicing for the Royal Games, but my royal padel partner disappeared. Want to play?"

"Padel?" Leo asked. "But you don't even have a racket!"

Prince Frio winked. "In my kingdom, imagination makes everything possible. Close your eyes!"

When Leo opened them, the pond had transformed. Lily pads became a court, and dragonflies held up a net made of spider silk. Using sticks as rackets, they played the most magical game of padel ever. The ball was a glowing firefly that zipped and zoomed!

"You're wonderful!" Prince Frio cheered. "Now for the next challenge—baseball!"

The pond changed again. Tall grass became bases, and acorns became baseballs. Frogs from all over gathered to watch as Leo hit home run after home run. Each time the acorn flew, it turned into a butterfly before reaching the ground.

"One last game," said Prince Frio, diving into the water. "Swimming with the stars!"

Leo jumped in. But this wasn't just swimming—the water glowed with tiny starfish that lit up like constellations. Fish swam in patterns that told stories, and Leo felt lighter than air, dancing through the water with his new friend.

Suddenly, Leo's mom called. "Dinner time, Leo!"

When he climbed out, everything was normal again. But in his pocket, he found a small silver crown made from a gum wrapper.

"Same time tomorrow?" whispered a tiny voice from the rushes.

Leo grinned. "You bet, Prince Frio. You bet."

That summer, Leo learned that the best adventures don't need fancy equipment or lots of people—they just need imagination and a good friend. And sometimes, the most magical things happen right in your own backyard.
