The Friendly Zombie's Secret

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's magical garden, especially the giant palm tree that touched the clouds. One sunny afternoon, she spotted something unusual—two glowing green eyes peeking from behind the palm fronds!

"Hello?" Lily called softly, clutching her iPhone tightly. Her grandmother had given it to her to photograph butterflies.

A zombie slowly emerged, but he wasn't scary at all! He wore a flower crown and had painted pink toenails. "I'm Zed," he whispered shyly. "I've been sleeping under this palm tree for fifty years."

Lily gasped. "You're a zombie? But you're so friendly!"

Zed nodded sadly. "Everyone runs away when they see me. But I just want to dance and make friends."

Lily's iPhone suddenly chimed with an idea. "I know! Let's take pictures together! If people see you smiling and having fun, they won't be scared."

And that's exactly what they did. Zed twirled under the palm tree while Lily captured every magical moment. They made flower crowns, chased butterflies, and had a tea party with grandmother's old cups.

By sunset, Zed was beaming with joy. Lily showed the photos to everyone in the village. At first, they gasped. But then they saw Zed's gentle smile and happy eyes.

"He's not a monster," the village children shouted. "He's our friend!"

That night, Zed slept peacefully under his favorite palm tree, no longer alone. Lily had learned something wonderful: sometimes, the scariest-looking things just need someone brave enough to see the magic inside.

And every day after school, Lily would visit her zombie friend, because true friendship comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors—even green ones.
