The Friendly Zombie's Magic Pool
Lily discovered something magical behind her grandmother's house - a secret pool hidden between towering palm trees. The water sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight.
One hot afternoon, Lily went swimming in the cool blue water. Suddenly, she heard splashing. A green figure emerged from behind the palm trees! Lily gasped. It was a zombie! But this zombie didn't look scary at all. He wore a bright flowered swim shirt and held a big bunch of fresh spinach.
"Hello there!" the zombie smiled warmly. "I'm Zed. Would you like some spinach? It's my favorite snack before swimming."
Lily blinked in surprise. "You... you're a zombie? But you seem so friendly!"
"Not all zombies are scary," Zed laughed, crunching on a spinach leaf. "The magic in this pool changed me. Now I love swimming, eating vegetables, and making new friends."
Lily tried the spinach and discovered it gave her extra energy to swim faster and explore deeper. She and Zed spent the afternoon playing magical pool games, racing between the palm trees, and discovering secret underwater caves.
"The secret," Zed told her, "is that the most magical things often seem scary at first. But when you're brave enough to try, you might find something wonderful."
Lily nodded wisely. She had learned that true friends can be found anywhere, even in the most unexpected places, and that swimming with an open heart leads to the best adventures of all.
