The Friendly Zombie's Farm

Lily loved visiting her grandfather's farm. Every summer, she'd help feed the chickens and collect eggs from the cozy coop. But this year, something strange was happening.

Late one night, Lily heard a slow, dragging sound coming from the old barn. *Thump... drag... thump...* She peeked through the wooden slats and gasped. A greenish figure stumbled around in the moonlight, arms stretched out stiffly. It looked just like the zombies from her storybooks!

But then something wonderful happened. The barn's giant bull, Buster, didn't charge. Instead, he gently nudged the creature with his soft nose. The zombie's face wasn't scary at all — it looked confused and lonely.

"Are you okay?" Lily whispered, stepping into the barn.

The zombie nodded slowly. "I'm Zed. I was a toy, but the moon's magic made me real. Now I'm looking for friends."

Buster the bull let out a happy snort and rested his giant head near Zed. Lily realized that even though Zed looked different, he had the kindest eyes she'd ever seen.

"I'll be your friend!" Lily said, and Zed's crooked smile turned into the most beautiful grin.

That summer, the three of them had the best adventures. Zed moved slowly, but he never tired. Buster gave them rides around the meadow. Lily learned that real friends aren't about how you look — they're about how you treat each other.

When summer ended, Lily's grandpa noticed something special. "That bull has never been so gentle," he said. "And I've never seen a toy zombie become so... alive."

Lily just smiled. Sometimes the most unusual friends make the best adventures, and looking different just means you're special in your own way.
