The Friendly Zombie of Palm Island
Lily paddled her bright yellow kayak toward the mysterious island. Something glinted in the sand - an old, rusty **cable** buried near the shore!
"Ahoy!" called a voice. A fluffy golden **dog** bounded across the beach, tail wagging like crazy. "I'm Captain Buster! Welcome to Palm Island!"
Lily laughed and hopped out. "I'm Lily. Why is it called Palm Island?"
Captain Buster led her to a clearing where magical **palm** trees grew. But these weren't ordinary palm trees - their coconuts were rainbow-colored!
Suddenly, they heard a strange moaning sound from behind the biggest palm tree.
"Grrr... brains..." groaned a sad voice.
Lily's eyes went wide. But instead of running toward the water for **swimming** away like most kids would, she crept closer.
"Hello?" she called softly.
A green figure shuffled out. It looked like a **zombie** - but the friendliest zombie anyone had ever seen! He wore a flower necklace and held a coconut.
"I'm Zombear," he sniffled. "Everyone runs away from me because I look scary. But I just want to share my rainbow coconuts."
Captain Buster barked happily. "Don't be sad! My best friend is a skeleton named Ribsy!"
Lily smiled. "We don't care how you look, Zombear. We care about your heart!"
Zombear's face lit up. He showed them his secret - the old cable was actually connected to a magical underground spring that made the rainbow coconuts grow!
"Only someone who looks past appearances can find the treasure," Zombear explained.
They spent the day playing, splashing in the crystal-clear water, and sharing delicious rainbow coconuts that tasted like sunshine and dreams.
As Lily paddled home at sunset, she waved to her new friends. She had learned the best treasure of all - true friends see with their hearts, not their eyes.
And sometimes, the scariest-looking creatures have the sweetest souls.
