The Friendly Zombie by the Water

Lily loved exploring behind her house, especially near the sparkly stream where the water danced over smooth stones. One sunny afternoon, she spotted something shiny half-buried in the mud. It was an old iphone, covered in weeds and looking like it had been there for years.

Curious, Lily wiped off the mud. The screen still worked! Strange symbols glowed and pulsed, and suddenly, a holographic figure appeared—a little zombie with bright green skin, messy purple hair sticking up like grass, and the kindest smile Lily had ever seen.

"Hello!" said the zombie, waving slowly. "I'm Zara, and I've been waiting for someone to find my magic iphone for three hundred years!"

Lily wasn't scared at all. Zara wasn't like the zombies in movies—she was sparkly, friendly, and her wild hair was decorated with tiny flowers.

"I was cursed by a grumpy wizard," Zara explained. "He trapped me in this iphone until someone with a pure heart found me. Will you help me break the spell?"

"Of course!" Lily said.

Zara told her the secret: they needed to collect three magical things from the water, put them in the iphone, and say a special rhyme.

Together, they searched the stream. Lily found a shimmering pebble that glowed like moonlight. Zara spotted a perfect feather from a water bird. Finally, they discovered a tiny crystal that sparkled like a captured star.

As Lily placed each item in the iphone, the screen burst with rainbow colors. Zara's hair began to float as if underwater, and she chanted:

"Water pure and magic bright, friendship breaks the spell tonight!"

Suddenly, Zara transformed! She became a beautiful water fairy with gossamer wings, her hair now a flowing river of silver and gold. The iphone turned into a magical shell that could make rainbows appear whenever Lily needed cheering up.

"Thank you, Lily!" Zara said, hugging her new friend. "You saw past my zombie appearance and helped me when others would have run away. That's true magic—the magic of kindness."

From that day on, Lily and Zara had amazing adventures by the water, helping others and spreading magic wherever they went. And Lily learned that sometimes, the scariest-looking creatures just need a friend to show their true, beautiful selves.
