The Fox Who Swam with Stars

Emma loved exploring the woods behind her house. One sunny afternoon, she discovered a hidden pond she'd never seen before. The water sparkled like diamonds, and strange blue flowers grew around the edges.

She sat by the water, watching tiny fish dart between lily pads. Her phone buzzed in her pocket — her mom calling. But when Emma pulled out her iPhone, something magical happened. The screen didn't show her mom's name. Instead, it displayed glowing paw prints leading toward the woods.

Curious, Emma followed the invisible trail. Deep in the forest, she met the most beautiful fox she'd ever seen. Its fur gleamed like autumn leaves, and its eyes shone with ancient wisdom.

"You found me," said the fox, and Emma gasped because foxes don't talk. "I'm Finn. I've been waiting for a friend."

"A friend?" Emma asked, her heart racing with excitement.

"Yes! Tonight is special," Finn explained. "The Bull who swims among stars visits our pond. He grants wishes to those with pure hearts."

Emma couldn't believe her ears. A swimming bull? In the stars?

As twilight painted the sky purple, Finn led Emma back to the hidden pond. The water began to glow. Up above, the constellation Taurus — the great Bull — twinkled brighter than ever. Slowly, magically, the starry bull descended from the heavens, diving into the pond with a splash that turned into ripples of silver light.

"Make a wish," Finn whispered.

Emma closed her eyes tight. "I wish that Finn and I could be friends forever, and that everyone could see the magic in this pond."

The great Bull nodded his massive starry head and swam back to the sky, leaving behind a single blue flower that shimmered with an inner glow.

"Our friendship seal," Finn said happily.

From that day on, Emma and Finn were best friends. She visited him often, and sometimes, on special nights, the great Bull would swim again, reminding them that magic exists for those who believe in friendship and wonder.

Emma's iPhone never showed those glowing paw prints again — she didn't need them. She knew the way by heart, and that was the best kind of magic of all.
