The Fox Who Swam in Clouds

Felix was the cleverest fox in the forest, with bright orange fur and a nose that could smell adventure from miles away. One sunny morning, while splashing in the river, he noticed something peculiar. A large golden leaf floated past him — and it wasn't from any tree he knew.

Felix followed the leaf upstream until he discovered a magical palm tree with shimmering silver bark and leaves that glowed like tiny moons. Hanging from its branches were crystal berries, each sparkling like a captured starburst.

"These must be the legendary sky berries," Felix whispered, remembering his grandmother's stories. She had told him that these berries contained a special vitamin — the vitamin of lightness — that could make anyone float like a feather.

Carefully, Felix plucked one berry. It was warm against his paw, pulsing gently like a tiny heartbeat. He took a small nibble, and suddenly his paws began to tingle. His whole body felt weightless, as if he had swallowed a piece of sunshine.

To his delight, Felix started floating upward! Higher and higher he drifted, until he found himself swimming through the fluffy clouds above the forest. The sky was an ocean of cotton-white waves, and he paddled through them joyfully, leaving tiny pawprints of rainbow light wherever he touched.

High above, Felix met Cloud-Shepherds — gentle creatures made of mist who tended the sky's floating gardens. They welcomed him and taught him how to weave sunset colors and shape clouds into animals.

But soon, Felix noticed something sad. The Cloud-Shepherds were growing tired and faded. Their garden was wilting because they lacked the magic from below to keep it vibrant.

Felix realized he couldn't keep this magic to himself. He gathered as many crystal berries as his paws could carry and swam back down to earth. He shared the berries with all his forest friends — squirrels, rabbits, even grumpy badgers. Together, they all floated up to help the Cloud-Shepherds restore their sky garden.

That's why, on certain sunny days, if you look carefully, you might see fox-shaped clouds dancing across the sky, swimming through rainbows. Felix had discovered the most important vitamin of all: the vitamin of friendship, which makes even the heaviest hearts light enough to soar.
