The Fox Who Spied on Lightning

Felix was a fox with very big ears and an even bigger curiosity. Every night, he would creep to the edge of the forest to spy on the magical things that happened when most animals were sleeping.

One evening, as Felix was crouching behind a blackberry bush, he saw something amazing. Flashes of lightning were dancing across the sky like glowing ribbons, but these weren't ordinary lightning bolts. They were leaving little glowing footprints on the ground!

Felix couldn't resist. He started running toward the glowing trails, his orange fur streaming behind him. The farther he ran, the brighter the footprints became, until he found himself in a secret meadow he had never seen before.

There, sitting on a rock, was the biggest bear Felix had ever seen. But this bear wasn't scary at all — she had a coat that sparkled like stardust and eyes that twinkled like the stars above.

"I've been spying on you too, little fox," the bear said with a gentle smile. "My name is Luna, and I guard the Lightning Path. Those glowing footprints only appear for special creatures who truly love magic."

Felix's tail twitched with excitement. "Can we follow them together?"

Luna nodded, and together they spent the whole night running through fields of silver grass, climbing crystal trees, and splashing in streams that flowed with lemonade instead of water. Felix learned that Luna wasn't just guarding the Lightning Path — she was lonely, and she had been waiting for a brave, curious friend like him.

When morning came, Luna pressed her glowing paw against Felix's forehead. "Now you can visit me anytime, just by wishing on the first star you see."

Felix ran home, his heart full of wonder. From that night on, the fox who loved to spy found something even better than secrets: a true friend who made every night an adventure.
