The Fox Who Served Sunshine

Felix the fox had the most magnificent orange fur in all of Mosswood Forest. Every morning, he would trot to the sunny meadow to practice his favorite game — padel, hitting a bright yellow ball against the old stone wall with his wooden racquet.

One day, a grumpy old bull named Barnaby stomped into the meadow. "Too much noise!" he grumbled, lowering his massive horns. "This meadow is for serious bull thinking, not fox games!"

Felix's ears drooped. But he noticed Barnaby's eyes looked tired, and his coat wasn't shiny like it should be. The little fox remembered what his grandmother had taught him about the special orange berries that grew on the hillside.

"Wait!" Felix called. "I want to show you something."

Curious despite himself, Barnaby followed Felix up the winding path to the berry patch. The sun was just beginning to set, painting the sky pink and gold.

"These berries are magic," Felix explained. "They're filled with sunshine vitamin that makes you strong and happy. My grandmother says they grow where the sun kisses the earth longest."

Barnaby tried one. His eyes widened. "It tastes like... joy!"

The bull and fox sat together, sharing berries as the stars appeared. Felix learned that Barnaby wasn't grumpy — he was lonely. And Barnaby learned that sometimes the smallest creatures have the biggest wisdom.

"Would you be my friend?" Felix asked softly. "I can teach you padel. You're probably much stronger at it than me!"

Barnaby smiled, and for the first time, his eyes sparkled. "I would like that very much."

From that day on, the meadow was filled with laughter. The fox and the bull became best friends, playing padel together at sunrise and sharing sunshine berries at sunset. And whenever any creature in the forest felt tired or lonely, they knew exactly where to find Felix and Barnaby — in their sunny meadow, ready to share both the magic berries and the magic of friendship.

For Felix had discovered something more powerful than any vitamin: the joy of helping others find their happiness.
