The Fox Who Saved the Game
Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every Saturday, he'd grab his glove and run to the park where his friends played. But today was different — the big championship game was in one hour, and the team snack was missing!
"Don't worry," said his best friend Mia. "My mom is making her famous spinach dip. It'll be here soon!"
But when they arrived at the field, something was wrong. A bushy orange tail disappeared behind the bleachers. Leo crept closer, feeling like a spy on a secret mission. There, curled up on the bench, was the most beautiful fox he had ever seen, guarding something precious.
The fox wasn't wild or scary. She looked at Leo with wise amber eyes and nudged a container forward — the missing spinach dip! She had been protecting it from a group of hungry squirrels.
"You're a hero," Leo whispered. The fox seemed to smile before slipping away into the woods.
Leo was running back to the field when he heard his teammates cheering. The game was about to start! Thanks to their new fox friend, the team had their lucky snack. They played their best game ever, and Leo knew that sometimes the best teammates come in the most unexpected packages.
That night, Leo left a small thank-you gift near the woods — a baseball-shaped cookie. And from that day on, whenever he saw a flash of orange fur near the field, he'd wave hello to his secret friend who taught him that kindness comes in all shapes and sizes.
