The Fox Who Ran on Water

In a forest where the trees whispered secrets to the wind, there lived a small fox named Pip. Pip loved two things more than anything: running fast through the meadow and eating sweet oranges from the old farmer's grove.

Every morning, Pip would go racing across the fields, his orange fur gleaming like sunshine. He ran so fast that butterflies couldn't keep up!

One day, while running near the sparkling stream, Pip discovered something strange—a glowing orange floating on the water. Curious, he took a bite.

Suddenly, golden light swirled around him! A tiny fairy appeared, shimmering like dewdrops. "This Magic Vitamin Orange," she chimed, "gives you the power to run on water! But only for one day."

Pip couldn't believe it! He stepped onto the water and—splat! No, he didn't sink. He could walk on it! He spent the whole day running across rivers and lakes, showing off to the other animals.

"Look at me!" Pip called, zooming in circles on the pond. The ducks clapped, and the fish jumped up to see.

But as sunset painted the sky pink, Pip heard crying. A baby bird sat on an island, too scared to fly back. Pip's magic was fading. If he helped, he might sink.

Pip looked at his paws, then at the crying bird. Without thinking, he dashed across the water, scooped up the bird, and carried her to safety just as the last glow disappeared.

The next morning, Pip's magic was gone. But when he went to the stream, something wonderful happened. The baby bird brought her whole family to say thank you. The ducks shared their fish. The farmer gave him all the oranges he could eat.

Pip realized something amazing: the magic vitamin orange had given him a special power for one day, but kindness had given him friends forever.

And sometimes, running with friends is even better than running on water.
