The Fox Who Guarded the Magic Star

Oliver was the smallest dog in Puppyville, with ears too big for his head and a heart full of dreams. Every night, he watched the stars from his backyard, wishing for an adventure.

One evening, a sparkling fox with fur like sunset appeared at the fence. "I'm Fern," she said softly. "I guard the Magic Star-Vitamin that keeps all forest animals healthy and happy. But tonight, the Star fell from the sky!"

Oliver's tail wagged so hard it almost knocked him over. "I'll help you find it!"

Together they journeyed into the Whispering Woods, where fireflies danced like tiny lanterns. Fern showed Oliver pawprints that glowed blue—the trail of the fallen Star.

They found the Star-Vitamin caught in a thorny bush, its light dimming. But a grumpy badger stood guard. "Why should I let you pass?" he growled.

Oliver thought hard. Then he did something unexpected—he offered the badger his favorite squeaky toy. The badger's grumpiness melted away. No one had ever given him a gift before!

As they pulled the Star free, it burst with golden light, showering them with sparkles. Fern smiled. "You know what the real magic is? It's kindness. That's the greatest vitamin of all."

From that night on, Oliver and Fern became best friends. And sometimes, if you look carefully at the stars, you can still see a little dog and a fox, watching over the forest together.
