The Fox Who Could Fly

Felix the fox was running through the meadow, his orange fur glowing like sunset. He loved running more than anything – especially when the fireflies came out to dance.

One evening, Felix found something strange near the old oak tree. It was a shiny rectangle, glowing with tiny pictures and lights. It wasn't like anything he'd seen in the forest. Felix tapped it with his nose, and suddenly – WHOOSH! – magical baseball players appeared, floating in the air!

"What ARE you?" squeaked Barnaby, a friendly dog who'd been watching from behind a bush. Barnaby was small and scruffy, with the biggest ears Felix had ever seen.

"I don't know," Felix whispered. "But look – the baseball players need our help!"

The tiny players were trapped inside the glowing thing – the magical iphone. They were trying to have a game, but something was wrong. The ball wouldn't bounce, and the players kept fading away.

"They're disappearing because nobody's BELIEVING in them," Barnaby said wisely. "Magic needs believing."

Felix had an idea. "What if we believe REALLY hard? And what if we running around the tree three times? Running always makes magic stronger!"

Together, fox and dog ran – fast and free, their paws thumping against the earth, the wind singing through their fur. As they ran, they believed. They believed in baseball and fairies and impossible things.

Suddenly – POP! The tiny players jumped right out of the iphone, growing bigger and brighter. The most beautiful game of baseball began under the stars, with glowing bats and a ball that sparkled like moonlight.

"We did it!" Felix cheered. "We saved the magic game!"

Barnaby wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled. "That was AMAZING! Can we be best friends, Felix?"

"Always," Felix promised.

And every night after that, if you looked carefully near the old oak tree, you might see a fox and a dog running together with a glowing baseball, making magic for anyone who believes.
