The Fox Who Collected Starlight
Felix was no ordinary fox. His fur shimmered like autumn leaves, and his nose twitched with curiosity about everything. While other foxes chased rabbits, Felix chased dreams.
One night, as Felix trotted through the Whispering Woods, he noticed something extraordinary. Tiny glowing specks drifted down from the sky like snowflakes made of light. He caught one on his paw—it sparkled with a warm, golden glow.
"Star-vitamins!" chirped a tiny voice. Felix looked down to see Pip, the smallest owl he'd ever seen, perched on a mushroom. "They fall once every hundred years. Each one gives you a special gift!"
Felix's eyes widened. He caught another star-vitamin. Suddenly, he could hear the flowers singing. He caught three more—now he could see the invisible bridges between trees that only moonlight revealed.
"Let's play sky-padel!" Pip hooted excitedly, flapping to the lowest branch. Using a fallen leaf as a paddle, the owl batted a floating star-vitamin toward Felix.
Felix jumped, his tail acting as a perfect paddle. Ping! Ping! They volleyed the glowing star back and forth, each hit making it sparkle brighter. Other forest animals emerged from their homes—badgers, rabbits, even a shy young deer—all watching in wonder.
"Can I play?" whispered Lily the deer.
Felix smiled. In that moment, he learned something more magical than any star-vitamin could give. The true gift wasn't the power to hear flowers or see invisible bridges. It was the joy of sharing wonder with new friends.
Together, they played until dawn, turning the night into the most beautiful game of forest-padel anyone had ever seen. And from that night on, Felix wasn't just the fox who chased dreams—he was the fox who made them come true for everyone he met.
