The Fox Who Chased Lightning

Once there was a curious little fox named Rusty who lived in the Whispering Woods. Unlike other foxes who slept during thunderstorms, Rusty loved to watch the brilliant bolts of lightning paint the sky.

One evening, as dark clouds gathered overhead, Rusty spotted something amazing. A single lightning bolt didn't just flash and disappear — it danced toward the ground like a glowing ribbon, landing gently beside an old oak tree.

Rusty's tail twitched with excitement. He crept closer and discovered a tiny creature made of pure light, shimmering like a star that had fallen to earth.

"Hello!" squeaked the little light-being. "I'm Lumi! I got separated from my family during the storm."

Rusty's heart melted. "I'll help you find them! But first, you look hungry."

He remembered what his mother had taught him: 'Foxes need vitamins to stay strong and healthy, and so do all creatures.' Rusty led Lumi to a patch of glowing moonberries, special fruits that appeared only during storms. These berries were packed with magical vitamins that gave light-beings their sparkle.

As Lumi ate, his glow grew brighter and stronger. "Thank you, Rusty! You're my best friend!"

Together, Rusty and his new friend climbed the tallest hill, calling out to the sky with the special light-song Lumi's family used. Suddenly, lightning bolts of pink, blue, and gold swirled around them. Lumi's family had heard them!

"We'll never forget you," Lumi promised, pressing a warm, glowing paw against Rusty's fur. "And guess what? Now you have a little bit of lightning magic too!"

From that day on, Rusty's fur shimmered with a special glow whenever storms came. He learned that the scariest things can bring the most wonderful friends, and that a little kindness can make anyone shine bright.
