The Fox Who Caught Lightning
Finn was a small fox with very big ears and an even bigger curiosity. Every night, he would creep to the top of Sunny Hill to watch the sky paint itself with stars.
One stormy evening, something extraordinary happened. A bolt of lightning flashed — not across the sky, but straight down! It landed right in front of Finn, and when the dazzling light faded, there it was: a tiny golden pyramid, no bigger than an acorn, glowing with warmth.
Finn's nose twitched. He nudged the pyramid with his snout. ZING! A tiny spark of lightning danced from it, tickling his whiskers. The pyramid hummed with a happy sound, like a bell wrapped in sunshine.
Suddenly, Finn understood. The pyramid was a gift from the storm itself! It had caught a piece of lightning, just for him.
But then he heard crying. It was little Lily the rabbit, trapped across the flooded creek. The storm had washed away the bridge!
Finn looked at his glowing pyramid. The tiny lightning spark inside seemed to nod, as if saying, "We can help."
Taking a deep breath, Finn touched the pyramid to the water. ZAP! A bolt of friendly lightning shot across the creek, instantly turning the rushing water into a sparkling bridge of ice.
Lily hopped across safely. "Thank you, Finn!" she cried, hugging his neck.
The golden pyramid glowed even brighter than before. Finn realized something wonderful: the lightning wasn't meant to be kept. Its true magic was sharing.
From that night on, whenever someone needed help, Finn and his lightning pyramid were there. And every time the little fox used his gift to help another, the pyramid sparkled a little more, as if the storm itself was smiling down at him.
Finn learned that the brightest magic doesn't come from the sky — it comes from a kind heart.
