The Fox's Secret Pocket

Lily was playing in her garden when something orange and fluffy darted behind the old oak tree. A fox! But not just any fox — this one had the shiniest, most curious amber eyes she'd ever seen.

The fox crept closer, something silver dangling from its mouth. Lily gasped. It was her iPhone, the one she'd lost yesterday!

"You found it!" she cried, but instead of running away, the fox dropped the phone gently at her feet and let out a soft, chattering sound.

That's when Lily noticed something magical — the fox's fluffy orange hair was glowing softly in the sunlight, like tiny stars were caught in its fur. And there, sitting on the fox's back, was a cat! A tiny, gray cat with purple eyes, purring happily as if riding a fox was the most normal thing in the world.

"I'm Finnegan," whispered a voice. Lily looked around, but no one was there. "Down here!"

The fox was talking!

"And I'm Mittens," said the cat. "We're guardians of the garden. You dropped this magical device, and we couldn't let the squirrels get it."

"Magical?" Lily picked up her iPhone. To her surprise, the screen showed something she'd never seen before — a tiny app shaped like a vitamin bottle.

"Touch it," said Finnegan.

Lily tapped the screen. A burst of rainbow light filled the garden! Suddenly, she could see glowing trails everywhere — where the bees had flown, where the butterflies had danced, where magic sparkled in the air.

"Every day, nature gives us gifts," explained Mittens. "Fresh air, sunshine, flowers, friendship. They're like vitamins for your heart. You just have to notice them."

Lily looked at her garden with new eyes. The ordinary had become extraordinary.

"Will I see you again?" she asked.

Finnegan nuzzled her hand. "Whenever you remember to look for magic."

The fox and cat disappeared in a swirl of golden leaves. Lily's iPhone showed only her normal apps now, but she knew better. Every morning after that, she spent ten minutes outside, watching for orange flashes of fur and gray cats with purple eyes, collecting heart vitamins with every wonder-filled moment.
