The Fox's Orange Magic
Felix was a curious little fox with rusty red fur and a twitchy nose. Every morning, he watched the children in the cottage garden pick bright orange fruits from the trees. They called them "oranges," and Felix wanted one more than anything.
One sunny morning, Felix sneaked closer when the children weren't looking. He sniffed the bumpy orange skin and took a tiny bite. Juice burst into his mouth—sweet and tangy! He ate the whole thing, seeds and all.
Suddenly, something magical happened. Felix's tail started to glow with a soft orange light! His paws tingled with energy. He could run faster than ever before, jumping over rocks and logs with ease.
The children spotted him. "Look at that fox!" they cheered. "He's glowing like magic!"
Felix didn't run away. Instead, he did something brave. He noticed a small bird had fallen from its nest high in the orange tree. With his new vitamin-powered speed, Felix darted up the trunk in a flash, his claws digging into the bark. He reached the nest just as a squirrel was about to steal the baby bird's egg.
With a gentle but firm push, Felix shooed the squirrel away. Then he carefully climbed down, carrying the frightened baby bird in his mouth. The children watched in amazement as the glowing fox returned the little bird to its grateful mother, who chirped her thanks.
"This fox is special," said the little girl. "The vitamin C in those oranges must have given him magic powers!"
The boy nodded. "Or maybe they gave him the power to do what he was always meant to do—help others."
The next day, Felix brought his fox friends to the orange grove. He showed them which oranges were the sweetest, and soon the whole forest was filled with glowing foxes who used their vitamin-powered abilities to protect the woodland creatures.
The children made a promise to always leave extra oranges for their fox friends. And every evening, as the sun set over the cottage, you could see soft orange lights dancing through the forest—foxes who had learned that the best kind of magic comes from sharing with others.
