The Fox's Lightning Gift

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's attic. One rainy afternoon, she found something strange—a small, smooth object that glowed like magic. It looked like an **iphone**, but instead of showing games, it showed a golden path leading to a mysterious desert.

When Lily touched it, WHOOSH! She was transported to a world of endless sand. In the distance, a magnificent **pyramid** sparkled under purple skies.

"Hello there!" squeaked a cheerful voice. An orange **fox** with emerald eyes trotted up. "I'm Felix! Are you here for the Lightning Festival?"

"The what?" Lily asked, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Every hundred years, **lightning** strikes the pyramid's peak and grants one wish to those brave enough to climb it!" Felix's tail twitched with excitement. "But it's dangerous."

Lily's heart raced. She could wish for anything—maybe to fly, or to see dragons! But first, she had to climb.

The pyramid was steep and slippery. Felix scampered up easily, but Lily struggled.

"I can help!" said the clever fox. He guided her to hidden pawholds and showed her secret paths carved by ancient winds.

Halfway up, a storm began. Thunder rumbled like giant drums. Lightning flashed in jagged ribbons across the sky. Lily trembled.

"Don't look down," Felix said softly. "Look at me. We're in this together."

They climbed higher and higher. Lily's muscles ached. Her fingers slipped. But each time, the fox was there, encouraging her, nuzzling her hand when she needed courage.

Finally, they reached the golden peak just as the greatest bolt of lightning—brilliant as a thousand stars—struck the pyramid.

The lightning didn't hurt them. Instead, it formed into a glowing sphere that whispered, "What does your heart truly wish?"

Lily looked at Felix, who had risked everything to help her. She smiled.

"I wish for Felix to always have a friend, no matter what," she said.

The lightning swirled around them, filling the air with warmth and sparkles. When it faded, Lily was back in her grandmother's attic, the strange device gone.

But in her pocket sat a small orange fox figurine that glowed warmly when she was lonely. And somehow, she knew Felix would never be alone again.

Sometimes the best wishes aren't for ourselves—they're for others.
