The Fox and the Pyramid Pool
Emma flopped onto the lounge chair, her curly hair tickling her shoulders. She tapped and swiped on her iPhone, barely noticing the sparkling blue pool beside her. Another boring day at Grandma's house.
Then she saw it—a fox with fur like autumn leaves, peeking from behind a bush. Emma froze. The fox blinked and twitched its tail, then darted away.
Emma's iPhone slipped from her fingers as she chased after it. The fox led her through Grandma's garden, past roses bigger than dinner plates, until they reached the old shed. But the shed wasn't a shed anymore.
A crystal pyramid rose from the ground, shimmering like captured sunshine. Emma gasped. Inside, she saw not tools, but a pool filled with stars—tiny glowing lights swimming like magical fish.
The fox sat by the pyramid's entrance, tilting its head.
"You want me to come in?" Emma whispered.
The fox nodded. Actually nodded!
Emma stepped inside. The star-pool rippled at her touch. Suddenly, she was floating through space, past comets and nebulas. The fox swam beside her, now covered in stardust, leaving trails of silver light.
"Where are we?" Emma asked, her voice full of wonder.
The fox didn't speak, but Emma understood: *The place where dreams begin.*
They played among the stars until Emma's eyelids grew heavy. The fox nuzzled her hand, and she found herself back in the garden, the crystal pyramid gone.
"Emma!" Grandma called from the porch. "Lunch is ready!"
Emma looked down. Her iPhone lay in the grass. She picked it up, then slipped it into her pocket. Some things were more magical than any screen could hold.
The fox appeared at the garden's edge, winking before disappearing into the golden afternoon light.
Emma smiled. Some adventures were too special to share—but she knew the star-pool would be there whenever she needed it. All she had to do was look up from her phone and truly see the world.
