The Forest's Magical Game

Lily loved exploring behind her house, especially the part where the trees grew tall and the sunlight danced through the leaves like golden fairy dust. One Saturday, she found something strange near the old oak tree — a tiny glass bottle filled with rainbow-colored pills. Each pill sparkled like a little jewel.

"Those are magic forest vitamins," said a deep, rumbly voice.

Lily jumped! Behind her stood the biggest bear she had ever seen, wearing a dusty baseball cap. He held a wooden baseball bat in one furry paw.

"I'm Benny," the bear said kindly. "And those vitamins? They're for the Sleepy Zombie."

Lily's eyes went wide. "A zombie? Like in stories?"

Benny laughed, a warm sound like honey pouring. "Oh, he's not scary. Zomby's just... very, very tired. He sleeps so much that he forgets to wake up and play. The magic vitamins give him energy!"

Lily picked up the bottle. "Where is he?"

"Follow me!" Benny lumbered through the trees until they reached a meadow. There, lying on a patch of soft moss, was a creature who looked half-asleep and half-awake. His skin was pale as moonlight, and he moved in slow, dreamy motions.

"Zomby!" Benny called. "Look who I brought!"

Zomby sat up slowly, blinking sleepy eyes. "Oh... hello..."

Lily held out a bright orange vitamin. "This is for you."

Zomby swallowed it, and suddenly — WHOOSH! His eyes widened. He stood up straight and tall. "I feel... HAPPY!"

Benny tossed the baseball. "Want to play?"

And that afternoon, in the sun-drenched meadow, a girl, a bear, and a not-so-scary zombie played baseball together. Zomby turned out to be amazing at hitting — his slow-motion swing made the ball sail all the way to the clouds!

Lily skipped home that evening with something more magical than any fairy tale — three new friends and an important lesson: sometimes the things that seem scary are just waiting for someone to help them shine.
