The Fairy's Rainbow Hair
In the smallest corner of Mrs. Green's garden lived a tiny fairy named Zola, no bigger than a strawberry. Zola had the most magnificent hair anyone had ever seen—long, flowing locks that shimmered in colors of purple, orange, and green.
Every morning, Zola collected dewdrops from the rose petals, which she used to wash her magical hair. What she didn't know was that these dewdrops were filled with special vitamins from the earth—vitamins that made her hair glow and sparkle like tiny stars.
One summer day, a terrible drought dried up all the water in the garden. The flowers drooped sadly, their colorful petals (which Zola called their hair) turning brown and brittle. Even the bees stopped buzzing.
"Oh no!" cried Zola. "My friends need help!"
She remembered her grandmother's stories about the Rainbow Spring, hidden deep in the Whispering Woods. The spring's magical water contained every vitamin in the world, and one drop could bring anything back to life.
Zola brushed her rainbow hair and set off on her adventure. Through the woods she flew, past ancient trees and sleepy mushrooms, until she found the sparkling Rainbow Spring.
But there was a problem—the spring was guarded by Grumblebug, a grumpy old beetle who sat on a rock.
"None shall pass!" Grumblebug snapped.
Zola noticed something—Grumblebug's dull, lifeless hair (or what beetles had instead of hair) was falling out. He looked sad and lonely.
"I can help you," Zola said gently. "My hair has special vitamins from morning dew. Let me share some with you."
She carefully cut a strand of her rainbow hair and wove it into a crown for Grumblebug. As soon as he placed it on his head, his hair became thick and shiny again.
Grumblebug's frown turned into a smile. "You may take as much magical water as you need, little friend."
Zola filled her tiny acorn cup with water from the Rainbow Spring and flew back to the garden. She sprinkled the vitamin-rich water on each flower, and—pop, pop, pop!—they perked up instantly, their petals blooming brighter than ever before.
That evening, all the garden creatures gathered to thank Zola. Her rainbow hair glowed extra brightly, for she had discovered something wonderful: sharing her gift was the greatest vitamin of all.
