The Fairy's Glowing Hair
Lily was playing in her grandmother's garden when she noticed something strange. The old palm tree in the corner seemed to shimmer with golden light. Curious, she tiptoed closer and peered behind the rough bark.
There, sitting on a curled leaf, was a tiny fairy no bigger than a butterfly. But something was wrong. The fairy's beautiful purple hair hung limp and dull, like wilted flowers.
"Oh, hello," the fairy said sadly. "I'm Pixie. I've lost my magic vitamins."
"Vitamins?" Lily asked, kneeling down.
Pixie nodded. "Every morning, fairy hair needs sparkle vitamins to glow like rainbows. Without them, my hair stays gray and the other fairies can't find their way home to me."
Lily's heart went out to the little fairy. "Where did you lose them?"
"I dropped them somewhere in the garden," Pixie said, her voice trembling. "They rolled right out of my palm when I was practicing my flying spell."
Lily stood up determined. "I'll help you find them!"
Together, they searched under rosebushes and around sunflowers. Lily gently lifted each leaf while Pixie flew above, searching with sharp eyes. Suddenly, Lily gasped. Near the vegetable patch, three glowing berries sparkled like tiny stars.
"Is that them?" Lily asked.
Pixie clapped her tiny hands joyfully. "Yes! Those are my sparkle vitamins!" She flew down and carefully gathered each one into her palm.
As soon as she ate them, her hair began to shimmer and shine. First purple, then pink, then blue—her hair glowed brighter than a rainbow! The magical light filled the garden, and suddenly, dozens of other fairies appeared, following the glow.
"Thank you, Lily!" Pixie cheered, hugging Lily's finger. "You taught me something important—when you help others, even the smallest palm can hold the greatest magic."
That night, as Lily fell asleep, she noticed something new in her mirror. A tiny strand of her own hair now glowed with fairy magic. Pixie had given her a gift—the magic of friendship, which would last forever.
